POSITION TITLE: DELIVERY DRIVER AND WAREHOUSE

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of customer orders as well as suppliers. Ensures the safe handling and quality assurance of electrical products and safe operation of company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintain accurate delivery records, and ensure the proper handling of goods to prevent damage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Delivers customer orders and pick material from suppliers in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

· Maintain company vehicles.

· Maintains a safe driving record.

· Communicates with dispatch in a timely manner to resolve problems.

· Communicates with the supervisor about problems to provide excellent customer service.

· Safely operate a delivery vehicle

QUALIFICATIONS

· Current California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

· Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.

· Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50lbs.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.

· Flexibility and ability to work as a team member.

· High school diploma or equivalent

JOB FUNCTIONS

Delivery 50%

· Safely operate a delivery vehicle in compliance with the traffic laws and company guidelines. Load and unload goods in a safe and secure manner.

· Plan delivery routes using GPS navigation and ensure timely deliveries to designated locations.

· Monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays.

· Deliver products to customers.

Warehouse 30%

· Order processing: pulling, packing and shipping

· Check orders for quality, accuracy and correct product, quantities, etc.

· Effectively communicate with warehouse and sales staff on orders, route changes and special delivery changes.

· Load merchandise into a van/truck.

Paperwork 20%

Ensure accurate paperwork for all orders and packages to facilitate timely billing of customer deliveries.

· Ensure inventory loads match shipping orders

· Maintain logs of packages delivered

· At the end route, turn in the delivery log to the warehouse supervisor.

· Prepare orders (boxing) for the next business day.
